Assemblers/Entry Level Mechanics (2nd Shift Position)

This position is located within our Contract Manufacturing Operation at our Livonia MI facility. Roush Contract Manufacturing provides assembly services to many of the leading-edge companies in the automotive industry. Products we produce for our customers consist of Off-Road tactical military vehicles, Self driving / Autonomous vehicles & Electric vehicles just to name a few. These low volume, highly technical projects make for a very exciting work environment where you learn cutting edge technology on a regular basis. Qualifications

1 year of recent hands on assembly experience in an Automotive Manufacturing environment.

High school diploma or equivalent

Must be a US citizen

Must have basic understanding of automotive systems

Must be mechanically inclined

Must be able to use manual tools and power equipment safely

Must have strong mechanical aptitude and ability to problem solve

Must have good organizational skills

Must have good attention to detail

Must possess the skills to read, comprehend and execute written procedures

Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and willing to learn

Good oral and written communication skills

Must have excellent attendance and be willing to work overtime/weekends when needed

Preferred Skills

Previous automotive mechanic or co-op experience preferred

Automotive electrical systems experience a plus

Candidates are encouraged to have a basic set of mechanic tools

Worker Instructions?

Candidates will need to interview during day shift.

Hired contractors will be expected to train on day shift for two weeks before moving to 2nd shift.(6am - 2:30pm)

2nd shift hours will be 3:30pm - 12:00am (OT as needed)

Special accommodations may be possible for some more experienced candidates if they are not able to train on 1st shift.
