2nd shift Metal Fabricator

Summary

Operate metal fabrication machines such as drill presses, mills, and saws to produce and inspect parts. The role involves setting up workstations, running multiple processes, and processing job packets on a computer.

Purpose and Description:

  • To produce quality parts using a variety of metal fabrication processes and machines.
  • Operate machines such as drill presses, punch presses, perforation machines, manual mills, end formers, horizontal and vertical saws

Major Responsibilities:

  • Machine set up and operation
  • Running multiple machines and processes simultaneously
  • Follow quality procedures – document as necessary
  • Inspection of parts using a variety of measuring tools

Other Responsibilities:

  • Set up work station and appropriately select dies, drill bits, and other tools for the assigned job
  • Inspection documentation
  • Process job packets accurately using a computer
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information in blue prints used or designed by Bauer
  • Adhere to all safety policies
  • Maintain commitment to safety, ethics and professionalism
