Job Overview

Sigma Systems is hiring a Packaging Technician – 2nd Shift for an onsite manufacturing opportunity with our client in Athens, GA. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with manufacturing, production, packaging, or assembly experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

The ideal candidate will assist with packaging equipment setup, maintain production documentation, monitor manufacturing processes, and ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup and operation of packaging equipment.
• Ensure waste materials are properly maintained in designated satellite storage bins.
• Complete required production and packaging documentation accurately.
• Monitor production activities and support team members in following established policies and procedures.
• Communicate equipment issues, process requirements, and production needs effectively.
• Perform data entry, including product packaging details, production downtime, and standard production yields.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized manufacturing environment.
• Perform routine facility and equipment maintenance in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous manufacturing or production experience required.
• Ability to work onsite in Athens, GA.
• Ability to work the second shift schedule: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
• Good communication, teamwork, and basic data-entry skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate production records and follow workplace safety guidelines.
