- Manage the daily operations of the Debone Department.
- Ensure production goals and yields are met while maintaining product quality.
- Monitor labor, staffing, and productivity to maximize efficiency.
- Enforce all USDA, HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment by following all OSHA and company safety policies.
- Train, coach, and develop supervisors and hourly employees.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide corrective coaching when necessary.
- Maintain accurate production reports and department records.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, HR, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Investigate and resolve production or employee issues promptly.
- Ensure employees follow company policies, attendance expectations, and work procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Ability to work in a cold, refrigerated production environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, when necessary.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as business needs require.
