About the Role
Our client, a leading bank in Singapore, is looking for a System Analyst to join its Cards Technology team. In this role, you will lead a team of developers supporting the development, implementation and support of Cards-related applications on the mainframe platform, working closely with business users and vendors on change requests and system enhancements. This is a great opportunity for an experienced technologist to take on a hands-on leadership role within a core banking Cards environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of developers in the system development, implementation and support of Cards-related applications on the mainframe platform.
Understand and contribute to the technical solution, from design through to code level.
Work closely with business users on all change requests, analysing and reviewing enhancements for compatibility and adherence to operating guidelines.
Develop solutions and estimations for business requirements and change requests.
Lead a project and change request team to implement solutions that meet business requirements and align with organisational objectives.
Work with vendors on estimations, high-level solution design and end-to-end functional delivery.
Guide the development team on functional and technical issues in a hands-on managerial capacity.
Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve application and system functional issues.
Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including triage and resolution of defects.
Ensure project documentation and development standards are maintained in accordance with organisational guidelines.
Troubleshoot, debug and provide production system support.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
At least 6-9 years of relevant experience in System Analysis, with equivalent experience in the Cards functional domain and cards payment networks (Banking).
Hands-on experience with Cardlink or Vision Plus is preferred.
Working knowledge of credit/debit card and loans processing, including delinquency, charge-off and write-off, and cards transaction dispute processes.
Technical skills in CICS COBOL, COBOL batch, JCLs and other mainframe utilities.
Hands-on experience with middleware systems on Linux/Unix and mainframes.
Exposure to microservices and event-driven architecture is an advantage.
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work with business users, vendors and technical teams.
