Frontend software engineer in Singapore (Bras Basah Road) building and optimizing user-facing web apps with TypeScript, React, and Next.js. Day to day: writing/maintaining code, integrating REST/GraphQL APIs, monitoring front-end performance, code reviews, and technical documentation on a Mon-Fri flexi-hours schedule ($3.5K-$4K).
Position: Software Engineer, Frontend (React)
Working Location: Bras Basah Road
Working Hours: 8am to 5pm/8.30am to 5.30pm/9am to 6pm/930am to 630pm (flexi)
Working Days: Monday - Friday
Salary Range: $3500 - $4000
Job IntroductionWe are looking for a Software Engineer, Frontend (React) to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will build and optimise user-facing web applications using TypeScript, React and Next.js, work closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to enhance the usability of our applications, and uphold high-quality design standards and brand consistency across our products.
KEY ROLE(S), RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES- Gathering information from stakeholders regarding functionality and features.
- Collaborating with various teams to enhance the usability of the application.
- Attending and contributing to meetings.
- Writing and maintaining code.
- Creating technical documentation.
- Build apps with/without mockups and prototypes.
- Ensuring adherence to high-quality design standards and brand consistency.
- Staying informed about emerging technologies.
- Optimizing applications for maximum speed and performance.
- Monitoring the front-end performance of the application.
- Performing thorough code reviews and providing constructive feedback to team members.
- Proven experience as a front-end developer.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong experience and proficiency in Typescript, React and Next.js.
- Experience in integrating with third-party libraries, REST APIs, and GraphQL.
- Knowledge of back-end development is a plus.
- Familiarity with browser testing and debugging.
- Experience with React Native and Expo is a plus.
- In-depth understanding of the entire web development process, encompassing design, development, and deployment.
- Experience implementing authentication and authorization solutions (OAuth, JWT, etc.).
- Knowledge of SEO principles.
- Familiarity with working with design and prototype software such as Figma.
- Experience with version control, Git, and GitHub.
- Experience with CI/CD.
