The impact you will make
You will be responsible for the design and development of new features and tools to support our industry leading healthcare software. As a Senior Software Engineer at FinThirve, you'll play a vital role in advancing innovative healthcare solutions, helping build industry-leading products that empower providers, enhance patient experiences, and deliver meaningful outcomes across the healthcare ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have experience with software development practices and patterns, as well as direct experience in researching, designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-level cloud-based solutions. Success in this role requires comfort working in a fast-paced, forward-looking environment that embraces agile (SCRUM) practices, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.

What you will do

Develop new features and maintain and enhance existing functionality
Work within and maintain an extensible and performant system architecture

Maintain a broad knowledge of emergent trends in software development platforms, tools, methodologies and their underlying principles
Write and review code, unit test within CI/CD pipeline
Build tools to support automation and productivity
Communicate effectively with team members and project leadership to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
Seek opportunities to incorporate new technologies into the product’s technology stack when they can add value
Work directly with support organizations to resolve production issues
Provide application support by analyzing defects, replicating/fixing defects and providing root cause analysis for defects
Troubleshoot and resolve functional and performance related issues
Seek development opportunities above and beyond required training

Serve as mentor for junior developers in the hard and soft skills required for success

What you will bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or experience through higher education
3+ years of experience in Software Development
Experience in developing software in an Agile environment
Deep expertise in Java, multithreading, collections and streams.
Extensive experience with Spring Boot
Experience with Microservice architecture
Experience working in one of a major cloud environment ie. Azure/AWS
Solid understanding of web technologies and frameworks: HTML, CSS, SCSS, Angular and similar.
Solid knowledge of RDBMS (database design, development & optimization)
Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (Azure Devops) and containerization (Docker, AKS).
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

What we would like to see

Experience in healthcare and/or knowledge of CMS processes and standards.
COBOL to Java Migration
Experience with the following:

Provision Resources/Deploy Applications/Improve efficiency and reliability
TDD, JIRA, Confluence
Linux/AS400/AIX/zOS
Terraform
.NET/C#
