3D CAD Systems Administrator

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the management of the 3D model to be controlled at Engineering – with the modeling work being carried out in all overseas satellite offices.
• Responsible for setting up AVEVA MARINE / E3D / HEXAGON SMART3D Enterprise system for projects in line with company and project procedures within the stipulated time during project start-up, managing the system across various projects, and providing continuous technical support.
• Responsible for development and implementation of project‑specific catalogues and specifications for piping & pipe supports, structural, electrical and instrumentation disciplines in AVEVA MARINE / E3D / HEXAGON SMART3D and setting up project‑specific drawing templates in the drafting module.
• Monitors the integrity of the 3D model global work share database and ensures that it is well maintained and that the regular transfer of information from the 3D model to other IT systems functions properly.
• Develops project‑specific modelling procedures and sets up the 3D model accordingly; conducts regular training for multi‑discipline end users based on client specifications and company standards.
• Works closely with discipline leads to understand their requirements and address their demand for on‑time development or customization to automate tasks, drawing templates, macros, isometrics, and interfaces to other systems.
• Troubleshoots technical challenges, resolves issues in a timely manner, and escalates when necessary; works with software vendor’s technical support in other locations for quick resolution.
• Familiar with workflows of all IT systems implemented in the project; proactively provides input to IT personnel and highlights potential technical challenges in advance.
• Cooperates actively with other overseas offices for projects executed from multiple locations, attends meetings, communicates effectively, and remains flexible to assume additional roles such as CAD Systems Coordinator or D‑Eng Lead.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related engineering disciplines.
• Minimum experience of 3‑5 years in CAD Systems Administration for Shipbuilding, Oil & Gas, and Offshore projects.
• Experience in AVEVA MARINE / HEXAGON SMART3D with in‑depth knowledge of all relevant modules.
• Familiarity with the FEED and Detailed Engineering phases of offshore projects.

Admiralty Yard, 60 Admiralty Road West, Singapore 759947. Transport provided from Sembawang MRT.

Mon – Thu: 8:00 am – 5:15 pm; Fri: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
