What it means on a daily basis

  • Create high and low poly stylized 3D character models and assets
  • Sculpt detailed characters and props using ZBrush
  • Develop lighting and rendering setups for asset presentation
  • Collaborate with 2D concept artists while respecting original designs and character morphology
  • Contribute ideas and artistic alternatives when needed
  • Work closely with technical and animation teams to ensure assets fit production pipelines
  • Optimize assets for real-time engines and in-game integration

What success will look like

  • Delivering high-quality stylized characters aligned with Disney visual standards
  • Creating production-ready assets optimized for game engines
  • Collaborating efficiently with cross-functional teams
  • Maintaining consistency across style, topology, and technical quality
  • Taking ownership of assets from blockout to final polish

What you need to succeed

  • Strong expertise in high and low poly 3D modeling
  • Professional experience with 3ds Max, Maya or Blender
  • Strong ZBrush sculpting and texturing skills
  • Good understanding of lighting, rendering, and presentation
  • Understanding of rigging workflows and character construction
  • Strong artistic fundamentals: anatomy, perspective, volume, composition, lighting
  • Understanding of stylized art pipelines
  • Knowledge of Unity, or other real-time engines such as Unreal Engine is a plus
  • Understanding of game production pipelines is a plus
