3D Design Engineer
Summary
Designs 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and injection molds for Samsonite luggage products using CAD software and coordinates with vendors.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / ACTIVITIES OF THIS JOB (list not more than 10 items)
Product Design:
3D Design for new product as per the Input from designer.
CAD models, Engineering drawing & Assembly design.
3D model renderingfor visualization.
3D printing of parts for new product.
Innovation for new products through design.
Mold Design:
Injection Mold Design concept.
Prepare input for texturization on injection molds.
Coordinate with Vendor for fine tuning of Mold Design.
Tool Design:
Design of Tools used for production.
Design of Drill jigs, Cooling Jigs, locating jigs.
Modification in existing product:
Responsible to work on product modifications.
Changes in Product design from the perspective of quality improvement.
Works on the product design from Cost Optimization point of view
Maintain drawings in Teamcenter
Education:
Diploma or Graduation in Engineering
