3D Mechanical Designer

Quality Tank Solutions currently seeking a full-time 3D Mechanical Designer to create 2D & 3D manufacturing designs for custom equipment and projects. In this role, you will ensure that the materials, equipment, and technical information necessary to complete the job. This position is ultimately responsible for understanding and accomplishing the customer’s goals while protecting and promoting the interests of QTS.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create main assembly drawings for custom equipment and systems
• Produce detailed drawings from main assembly drawings
• Create flat layouts for waterjet cutting applications
• Revise main and detailed drawings as project requirements change
• Create and update technical routing and information sheets
• Develop and revise bills of materials

Requirements and Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in stainless steel tank design preferred
• 1-3 years of RECENT experience using AutoCAD and Inventor or other similar modeling software.
• Excellent skills/knowledge in mechanical design
• Good MS Office skills: Outlook, Word, Excel
• Strong work ethic and a sense of accountability
• Ability to follow directions while also working independently
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate’s degree or Technical School in Mechanical Design / Drafting (beneficial but not required)
