POSITION SUMMARY
The Culinary Kitchen Team Member supports the preparation and execution of 4Roots culinary events, with a primary focus on the ORIGIN at 4Roots dinner series and other culinary programs as assigned. This role works in an active, open-air kitchen environment and assists with food preparation, cooking, plating, station readiness, service execution, sanitation, and event breakdown while maintaining 4Roots standards for quality, hospitality, food safety, and teamwork.
What We’re Looking For
· Culinary Foundation: 1+ years of line/prep cook experience in a scratch kitchen, fine-dining restaurant, or high-end catering, or current enrollment/completion of a culinary arts program.
· Outdoor Kitchen Adaptability: Ability to thrive in an active open-air kitchen setting while maintaining strict cleanliness and focus during live service.
· Technical Skills: Strong knife skills, solid foundational cooking techniques, and acute attention to plating detail.
· Drive & Curiosity: An eager, coachable mindset dedicated to learning from top-tier culinary professionals and pursuing long-term culinary growth.
· Schedule Availability: Flexibility to work event-based shifts; ORIGIN event days typically run Noon–11:00 PM.
· Food Safety: Active Food Handler or ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
