4th Shift Electrical Tester

The 4th Shift Electrical Tester performs repetitive testing, preparation, and testing task of basic to moderate complexity. Reports to the area Supervisor. Minimum supervision on routine work assignments. This role is responsible for following all safety and work procedures to successfully complete production and special testing, and examine and test electrical products. Prepare the product for testing by safely making the connections required for the test being performed. Stop construction of non-compliant installations.
Hours are the following:
Weekend 1 Friday - Sunday 6pm-6am
Weekend 2 Thursday - Sunday 6pm-6am

What You'll Do

Visually examine and inspect the product for completeness of assembly, quality, and conformance to specifications and work instructions.
Look for frayed wires and loose connections.
Perform electrical routine tests as required
Able to interpret test results for acceptance or rejection of the product
Document actions by completing production and quality forms
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
Contribute to team effort by training others in the performance of testing tasks as needed
Inspect all work and ensure it meets requirements prior to passing it on to the next operation
Compile inspection reports.
Write up recommendations for improvement.
Report violations.
Able to prioritize jobs and coordinate with production lead operators and/or supervisor
Notify the lead or supervisor of problems found during testing

Observe and follow safety rules and regulations
Able to communicate test results and/or failure modes effectively to Supervisor, Design Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or Quality Assurance personnel.
Perform Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development required
Must be able to safely use small hand and power tools
Must be able to read and interpret Drawings
Ability to use measurements such as a ruler, measuring tape, and caliper
Must have basic computer skills
Continuous training on new equipment or new processes required to test power bushings and based upon additional assignments.
Must be able to read and comprehend safety procedures, work instructions, and assembly drawings
Must have attention to detail and be able to work independently and follow written procedures
Prior experience with testing equipment, preferably
Equipment testing as required by various product lines.
Some product lines require a final check of the product with completion of documentation for files.
Will have final review of equipment and will complete inspection information
Must be able to use testing gauges and/or electrical test equipment such as OHM meters.
The ability to operate a computer and learn specialized programs as needed to perform job functions.
