Location: Sembawang
Working Hours: 8am - 530pm (Mon to Fri)
Salary: $2800 - $4000
Job Description
The R&D Engineer will support product research, testing, development, and technical transfer while working closely with customers and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct experimental research and analyse chemical properties of products and compounds
- Develop new products, test methods, and improve raw materials or existing formulations
- Perform product testing, trial runs, and inspections
- Provide technical support and collaborate with customers on product/application development
- Prepare quality system documentation, including R&D reports, test methods, SOPs, and risk analysis
- Support customer and certification audits
- Coordinate technical transfer to production and grade transfers from other plants
- Source and manage procurement of testing equipment and machines
- Work closely with internal departments to resolve technical issues
- Participate in company-wide projects and initiatives
Requirements
- Degree in Science, Chemical Process, Engineering, or related discipline
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, especially in failure analysis and estimation
- Good conceptual, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Customer-focused, proactive, responsible, and able to work well in teams
