About This Team
The QNAP Switch R&D team focuses on the development of core software for enterprise-class smart switch products, covering the implementation of L2/L3 network protocols, platform architecture design, and the development of automated test and validation systems. Our products are widely used in enterprise networks, data centers, and industrial environments, and we are continuously evolving toward next-generation silicon platforms.
Join us and you’ll work side-by-side with senior engineers and architects who possess extensive industry experience. In an environment that values technical depth and encourages independent exploration, you’ll gain end-to-end mastery of the entire switch software stack—from protocol implementation to platform validation.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Switch network feature development: Covering Layer 2, Layer 3, and data center switch features and protocol development.
2. Port existing software to new chip platforms.
3. Participate in code reviews and adhere to team development standards to ensure code quality and maintainability.
Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications
1. Familiarity with **TCP/IP network protocols** and a solid foundation in Layer 2/Layer 3 networking
2. Proficiency in **C language** programming; experience with Linux system development
3. Ability to develop or debug software in an **embedded Linux** environment
4.Ability to read English technical documents and specifications
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Familiarity with switch ASIC SDKs, such as **Marvell PRESTERA/ALDRIN** or **Broadcom SDKLT/OpenNSL**
2. Experience in developing or researching the **SONiC** open-source networking operating system
3.Experience using network testing tools (Spirent, Ixia, or equivalent tools)
4. Proficient in using AI-assisted development tools (such as Codex, Claude, and Cursor) to enhance development efficiency
What We Offer:
