Summary

Designs mechanical and hydraulic systems for cranes and material handling equipment using SolidWorks/3D CAD, creates drawings and BOMs, and supports testing and commissioning.

Mechanical & Hydraulic Design Engineer

  • Working Location: Gul Circle
  • Working Hours: 5 days, Mon - Fri, 8:00am – 5:30pm
  • Salary: $3500 - $4500

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical and hydraulic systems based on industry standards, good engineering practices and contractual requirements.
  • Perform design/sizing/selection/integration of steel structures, mechanical & hydraulic components.
  • Design and produce mechanical and hydraulic system drawings/BOM and all associate project document such as operation and maintenance manual.
  • Carry out function testing/troubleshooting/commissioning in factory as well as in container terminals.
  • Provide engineering support/advice to Sales, After-Sales and Production department and conduct user training when required.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
  • Experience in design of machines, mechanism, components, and hydraulic system, preferably in heavy industries such as cranes and construction equipment.
  • 3D CAD design experience and ability to conduct engineering calculation and analysis according to industry standard are essential.
  • Knowledge in steel fabrication and machining processes will be an advantage.
  • Experience in design set-ups, component selection, testing and troubleshooting preferred.
