6m Group Wealth Operations Officer, Asset Transfer Validation (Up to $5k) #HFT

We are seeking a Group Wealth Operations Officer to support the Asset Services function within a financial services environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting pre-processing validation of client transactions and performing callback verification to ensure operational accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Processing Validation

• Perform pre-processing checks on client payment instructions before they are processed by the Remittance team.
• Ensure all required approvals have been obtained and that instructions comply with clients' signing mandates and internal procedures.
• Escalate any deviations from established procedures promptly.
• Review transactions including payments, internal transfers, cheque issuance, cash withdrawals, standby letters of credit/banker's guarantees, and deposit placements, rollovers, and withdrawals.

Callback Verification

• Conduct callback verification for asset transfer and static data update requests in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
• Review and validate callbacks completed by business units before processing by the relevant operations teams.
• Respond to business-as-usual (BAU) enquiries and ensure issues are resolved or escalated appropriately within agreed timelines.

Operational Controls

• Perform end-of-day control checks to ensure all daily operational tasks are completed accurately.
• Act as a control function by identifying potential operational risks while working closely with front office teams.
• Ensure exception transactions are processed strictly according to approved conditions.
• Complete end-of-day reviews and maintain required operational checklists.

Query & Change Management

• Resolve business queries within the expected service standards or escalate them to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and control gaps to enhance operational efficiency.
• Participate in operational and system enhancement projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Up to 2 years of relevant experience in Private Banking Operations, particularly in remittances, callback verification, asset services, or client service functions.
• Good understanding of operational controls and transaction processing within a banking environment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and potential risks.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• Able to work independently while contributing positively in a team environment.
