The Medical Intensive Care Unit offers a unique and exciting opportunity for new graduate and experienced LPNs alike. Our 12-bed MICU provides specialized care to critically ill adult patients with complex medical conditions requiring intensive monitoring, advanced therapies, and a highly collaborative multidisciplinary approach.

Our team cares for patients with a wide range of critical illnesses, including respiratory failure, sepsis, multisystem organ dysfunction, complex medical conditions, and patients requiring advanced respiratory and hemodynamic support. LPNs in the MICU are valued members of the care team and work closely with RNs, providers, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, and other disciplines to provide safe, high-quality patient care within their scope of practice.

This role includes traditional LPN responsibilities as well as a focused opportunity to support patient mobility and early mobilization efforts in the ICU setting. The LPN will assist with activities such as repositioning, dangling, transfers, ambulation as appropriate, use of safe patient handling equipment, and other mobility interventions that promote recovery, reduce complications, and support improved patient outcomes.

Our orientation process is designed to support the development of LPNs by providing opportunities to work alongside both LPNs and RNs while gaining experience in the MICU environment. This position offers the opportunity to build strong multidisciplinary relationships, develop critical thinking skills, and contribute meaningfully to the care of critically ill patients.

Don’t miss the opportunity to become a member of this dedicated and collaborative MICU team.
