Project – the aim you’ll have
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer to join the Production Engineering team at a leading US fintech whose personal-finance platform helps millions of consumers make smarter money decisions. You’ll work in a hands-on team, partnering with Security to standardize AWS infrastructure, build reusable Terraform and CDK modules, and modernize CI/CD pipelines.
Position – how you’ll contribute
•Work primarily on planned infrastructure projects, with a mix of troubleshooting and collaboration across engineering teams.
•Participate in a daily stand-up to sync on priorities, blockers, and ongoing work.
•Drive initiatives such as infrastructure standardization, building reusable AWS CDK constructs and Terraform modules, improving shared CI/CD workflows, cloud migrations, security improvements, and observability.
•Own DNS management and the Cloudflare platform, which serves as the first line of defense, helping protect and manage traffic to our applications.
•Handle ad hoc requests through the developer support queue, which may involve troubleshooting DNS resolution, networking, proxies, IAM permissions, or other infrastructure-related issues.
•Occasionally help development teams design AWS architectures and choose the right services.
•Balance unexpected requests that may shift priorities while keeping planned work moving forward.
•Collaborate closely with Security and other engineering teams to ensure infrastructure is reliable, secure, and easy for developers to use.
Expectations – the experience you need
•Strong hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services, including IAM, networking, compute, and databases.
•Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform and AWS CDK.
•Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
•Experience troubleshooting cloud infrastructure, networking, and production issues.
•Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and logging practices.
•Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating with different engineering teams.
Nice-to-have requirements
•Experience with Vercel or similar application deployment platforms.
•Familiarity with Kubernetes and EKS.
•Experience building reusable infrastructure modules or self-service tooling for developers.
•Experience with cloud migrations and legacy infrastructure modernization.
•Knowledge of AWS cost optimization practices.
•Experience working in Agile environments.
