Job Description: Ab Initio Developer

Role: Ab Initio Developer / ETL Developer
Experience: 6-9 Years
Location: Pune / Chennai / Bangalore
CTC: Up to 27 LPA

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Ab Initio Developer with strong expertise in ETL development, data integration, and data warehousing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting scalable data processing solutions using the Ab Initio platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Ab Initio GDE (Graphical Development Environment).
• Build and optimize data integration solutions for large-scale data processing.
• Develop Ab Initio graphs, plans, scripts, reusable components, and metadata-driven ETL frameworks.
• Work extensively with Co>Operating System, EME, Conduct>It, and Express>It.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading from multiple source systems.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical ETL specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve ETL performance bottlenecks and production issues.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Business Analysts, and Application teams.
• Implement data quality checks and ensure data governance standards are met.
• Participate in code reviews, release deployments, and production support activities.

Required Skills

• 6-9 years of hands-on experience in Ab Initio Development.
• Strong knowledge of ETL, Data Warehousing, and Data Migration concepts.
• Expertise in:
• Ab Initio GDE
• Co>Operating System
• EME (Enterprise Meta Environment)
• Conduct>It
• Unix Shell Scripting
• SQL and Database Development
• Experience working with Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, DB2, or Snowflake.
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts.
• Experience in ETL performance tuning and optimization.
• Proficiency in handling large-volume data processing.
• Good debugging and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Banking, Financial Services, Insurance (BFSI) domain experience.
• Exposure to Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of scheduling tools like Control-M or Autosys.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc. (Computer Science, IT, or related field).

Notice Period

• Immediate to 60 Days Preferred.
