Abutment Milling Technician
Summary
Operates dental milling machines to produce and inspect titanium dental abutments, following manufacturing protocols and quality standards. Uses specialized software to generate toolpaths and manage production workflows.
Essential Functions:
- Completes any necessary training and follows standard operating procedures that aligns with the most current standards set by Prismatik and the Quality Management System.
- Builds and measures abutment arbors.
- Prints and verifies abutment work orders.
- Issues out required parts for each individual case.
- Generates abutment milling tool path for DT-1 machines.
- Loads arbors into DT-1 machines through the robot or manually.
- Combines and does final inspection on each individual abutment.
- Washes and logs all abutments.
- Scans all log forms from ultrasonic wash into SharePoint folder.
- Logs all remills into tracker for management review.
- Material inspections and cutting of incoming items from Prismatik and outsource companies.
- Performs weekly cycle counts for each item the department carries.
- Evaluates titanium custom abutments within the milling center.
- Identifies and reports nonconformities in titanium abutments at all stages of the milling process.
- Utilizes milling software to create mill programs for titanium abutments.
- Uses ultrasonic cleaner to wash titanium abutments.
- Scans cases to locations within the milling center.
- Scans documents and other related items for traceability.
- Participates in annual audits as needed.
- Performs other related duties and projects as required by management.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No dental experience required.
Pay: $19.00/hr
