Academic Intern
Purpose of the role
The Academic Intern will support the General Manager in daily operations while gaining practical experience in communication, business events, business development, market research, and administration within an international business environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the General Manager with daily operations.
Support communication activities, including managing website content, social media, newsletters, and other communication materials.
Assist in the organisation of business events, including preparation, on-site support, and post-event follow-up.
Contribute to business development activities by participating in meetings and engaging with prospective members.
Conduct market research and support the development and implementation of new services.
Assist with administrative tasks and other operational activities as required.
Work closely with the team and interact with companies, institutions, business leaders, and other stakeholders.
Support networking and activities that contribute to private-sector development in Tanzania.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree obtained in the year preceding the start of the internship in Public Relations & Marketing, Business Administration, Communication, International Relations, or a relevant field
Tanzanian citizenship or a valid residence and work permit in Tanzania covering the full planned internship period
Good analytical and writing skills
Self-motivated and results-oriented
Interest in events, communication, and social networking
Confident and professional presentation skills
Strong intercultural skills
Very good knowledge of English
Knowledge of French is an added advantage
