Pay Range: $27.96 - $29.37 per hour
Job Description:
The Access Care Representative participates in the team approach within Access Care to provide a comprehensive, coordinated and seamless service to our patients. Assists the patient through the registration process, obtains current and accurate demographic and insurance information. Validates status of insurance and determines amount to be covered by private carrier. Makes appropriate referrals to assist the uninsured population. Collects required fees and co-pays. Verifies participation in managed care program as well as authorization for hospital services with primary care provider. Schedules all ordered testing for outpatients and pre-surgical individuals.
Requirements/Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years related experience and knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to upgrade to technical skills with installation of new technology.
