About the Position

The Accessibility and Inclusion Manager is a key leadership role responsible for strengthening accessibility, inclusion and equitable practice across Bond University. Leading the Accessibility & Inclusion function, the position coordinates implementation of the University’s Disability Inclusion and Accessibility Plan (DIAP), building shared ownership, capability and consistent inclusive practice across faculties, professional service areas and central teams.

The role provides expert advice on complex and systemic accessibility and inclusion matters and works collaboratively with stakeholders across the University to translate strategy, legislation and best practice into meaningful action. A strong focus is placed on building the capability of staff and supporting the co-design of initiatives that create an accessible and inclusive study and work environment.

The Manager leads and supports the Accessibility & Inclusion Advisor and oversees the quality and consistency of service delivery. Importantly, the position also maintains a direct connection with students through a caseload, complex case management and admission reviews, ensuring broader accessibility initiatives remain grounded in the lived experience and needs of Bond students.

This is an opportunity to combine strategic leadership, specialist expertise and practical impact, helping to embed accessibility and inclusion as a shared responsibility across the University.

About the Person

You will be an experienced accessibility and inclusion professional who can support Bond University’s strategic approach to accessibility and inclusion, build capability across the University, and empower others to create genuinely inclusive study and work environments. You will combine strategic thinking with specialist expertise, people leadership and confidence managing complex student accessibility matters.

You will bring:

• A relevant tertiary qualification and strong experience in accessibility, disability, inclusion or equity, preferably within higher education.

• Experience leading and developing staff, including case consultation, workload management and professional development.

• Strong knowledge of disability and accessibility legislation, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), policy and contemporary sector practice.

• Expertise in complex student accessibility matters, including reasonable adjustments, inherent requirements, placements, complaints and appeals.

• Knowledge of neuroaffirming and trauma-informed approaches and their application to practice and service delivery.

• Strong communication, influencing and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders, build capability and strengthen shared responsibility for inclusion.

• A strategic and evidence-informed approach to accessibility, risk, data and continuous improvement.

If you are committed to making a meaningful difference and ensuring a more inclusive future for students and staff, we encourage you to apply for this vital role.
