Autobarn is growing and we’re looking for an experienced Accessory Fitter to join our in-store teams. The successful candidate will actively get involved with serving customers, creating solutions, driving sales and coaching the team to create a strong flow of work. This role is vital to ensuring our customers leave the store excited for their next journey on the road!

NOTE: To be considered you must have at least a valid Certificate II or Certificate III in Automotive Electrical or Automotive Mechanical trades.

What you’ll be doing

The Accessory Fitter reports to the Store Manager, and tasks include:

  • Installing a wide range of 4WD accessories (bullbars, towbars, spotlights, roof trays, etc) to a high-quality standard
  • Installing audio, electrics other vehicle accessories such as dash cams and head units
  • Providing exceptional customer service everyday
  • Working with a high-performing team members to help customers get the best from their vehicle
  • Maintaining fitting service appointments
  • Complying with all safe work practices, policies, procedures and instructions

Who we’re looking for

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of a valid Certificate II or Certificate III in Automotive Electrical or Automotive Mechanical trades (essential)
  • Prior accessory fitting/workshop experience
  • Strong communication, customer service skills and a people-focused attitude
  • Solid basic mechanical knowledge from an automotive background, trade, or hands-on experience
  • Complying with all safe work practices, policies, procedures and instructions
  • A valid driving licence
  • A “can-do” attitude from someone who takes pride in getting the job done well
  • Eagerness to continuously learn, train, and work with the whole team
