Account Director
Summary
Leads client relationships for a semiconductor/manufacturing startup, driving revenue and partnerships while coordinating internal teams.
We are looking for an experienced Account Director to lead strategic customer relationships, drive business growth, and develop long-term partnerships with our customers.
This is a senior commercial leadership position suited to a candidate with strong experience in strategic account management, business development, commercial negotiations, and cross-functional leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve revenue, profitability, and business growth objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and senior stakeholders.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to grow existing accounts.
- Lead commercial negotiations, pricing discussions, contract management, quotations, and proposals.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Customer Support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor project execution and ensure customer expectations, quality requirements, and contractual commitments are met.
- Manage customer concerns and resolve issues effectively, escalating critical matters when required.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify potential business opportunities.
- Prepare business reviews, sales forecasts, management reports, and account performance analyses.
- Monitor account profitability, revenue performance, and overall business results.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and contractual obligations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Significant relevant experience in semiconductor, materials, equipment, manufacturing, or engineering industries.
- Strong experience in strategic account management, business development, and commercial management.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment, including exposure to business start-up or growth phases, would be advantageous.
- Proven ability to manage key customer relationships and work effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple business priorities.
- Candidates with experience in a managerial or senior leadership capacity will be considered favourably.
