Account Executive
Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients, building relationships that outlast any single project.
- Identify, qualify and pursue new business leads through networking, referrals, and inbound and outbound outreach.
- Understand each client's business objectives, challenges and brand direction, and proactively propose APEX solutions that meet them.
- Maintain a high level of client satisfaction through responsive service, clear communication and consistent delivery.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams — Events, Productions, Digital and Creatives — to deliver projects on time, on budget and to standard.
- Manage project progress, budgets and timelines, flagging risks early and resolving them before they escalate.
- Prepare and present regular project updates, reports and reviews for clients.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts — for example, converting an events client into a digital or retainer engagement.
- Assist in developing and delivering business proposals, pitches and presentations for new and existing clients.
- Support contract negotiations and deal closures where applicable.
- Gather and share client insight and feedback to sharpen APEX's offerings and service quality.
- Provide consistent account performance reports and updates to the leadership team.
Requirements:
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field.
- 1–2 years in account management, client servicing, or an agency role.
- Prior exposure to events, media production or digital marketing projects highly preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, adapting as priorities shift.
- Strong documentation skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, hands-on, and committed to seeing work through.
- Client-first attitude with a proactive, problem-solving approach and a strong sense of urgency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organisational skills.
- Ability to anticipate roadblocks and think laterally to work around them.
