This is an exciting opportunity for a high-performing sales professional to grow strategic relationships within the financial services sector.
You will own the full sales cycle across an existing customer portfolio, identifying expansion opportunities and driving meaningful revenue growth.
The role focuses on engaging hedge funds, asset managers, investment banks, and sell-side research organizations.
You’ll combine account development, prospecting, consultative selling, product demonstrations, trials, and negotiation to expand customer adoption.
Working closely with marketing, product specialists, and other internal teams, you’ll help translate customer needs into commercial and product opportunities.

Accountabilities:
- Own the end-to-end sales process within an assigned territory, focusing on expanding existing customer relationships across the financial services market.
- Develop and execute account strategies targeting hedge funds, asset managers, investment banks, sell-side research teams, and other institutional financial organizations.
- Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts by researching organizations, prospecting new teams and stakeholders, and building relationships at multiple levels.
- Manage the complete sales cycle, including opportunity identification, discovery, product demonstrations, trials, negotiation, and closing.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline while accurately forecasting performance and consistently working toward or exceeding revenue targets.
- Develop strong customer relationships and internal advocacy to create the conditions for broader enterprise adoption and account expansion.
- Partner closely with product specialists during customer trials to maximize engagement, address questions, and demonstrate relevant product value.
- Collaborate with marketing to support brand awareness and generate additional opportunities within the target market.
- Capture and communicate customer and market insights to sales, product management, content, and product marketing teams to inform product and content development.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism, initiative, work ethic, and customer engagement throughout the sales process.
- Travel to customer meetings approximately monthly or quarterly, depending on business requirements.
- Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably selling SaaS technology, financial information, research, or related solutions to financial market participants.
- Direct experience selling to institutional investors and financial professionals, particularly within buy-side or sell-side organizations.
- Demonstrated success achieving and exceeding sales targets in a full-cycle closing role.
- Strong prospecting and pipeline-generation capabilities, including the ability to identify opportunities and gain access to senior stakeholders across complex organizations.
- Experience managing and expanding existing customer relationships through consultative and value-based selling.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to understand complex customer challenges and communicate solutions in clear, accessible terms.
- Exceptional relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all organizational levels.

- Competitive base salary of CAD $102,000–$163,000, with final compensation determined by experience, expertise, and other relevant factors.
