Account Executive I, Tier 2 Insurance Vertical

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Account Executive I, Tier 2 Insurance Vertical based in the United States.

This remote sales role focuses on growing strategic relationships and revenue within the insurance sector.
You’ll manage an established portfolio while identifying opportunities for renewals, cross-selling, upselling, and new business.
As a trusted advisor, you’ll engage senior stakeholders and connect their business needs with data, analytics, and technology solutions.
You’ll own complex sales cycles from prospecting and qualification through negotiation, contracting, and close.
The role combines account strategy, consultative selling, pipeline development, and cross-functional collaboration.
You’ll work closely with sales, client success, marketing, product, legal, and delivery teams to create lasting customer value.
With significant customer-facing responsibility and travel, this is an opportunity for a developing sales professional to expand their enterprise selling expertise.

Accountabilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to an established portfolio of insurance clients by building strong, long-term relationships and understanding their business priorities.
  • Protect and grow revenue through successful renewals, win-back initiatives, cross-selling, and upselling relevant solutions.
  • Prospect proactively, identify and qualify new opportunities, develop a healthy sales pipeline, and consistently achieve or exceed annual revenue targets.
  • Own sales opportunities end-to-end, including account planning, negotiation, contracting, approvals, and closing.
  • Partner with sales leadership to navigate complex deals involving multiple decision-makers, products, stakeholders, and funding sources.
  • Develop strategic account plans and coordinate internal sales resources to ensure alignment with customer objectives and growth opportunities.
  • Assess client environments from business process, organizational, and technology perspectives to identify and prioritize opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce data to support account planning, territory management, pipeline visibility, and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with Client Success and Marketing on business reviews, retention initiatives, and win-back campaigns.
  • Build strong relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders and collaborate with Pre-Sales, Product, Data, Deal Management, Legal, Delivery, and Customer Service teams.
  • Complete required professional certifications and contribute to additional sales initiatives as needed.
  • Travel to customer sites and other business locations at least 40% of the time.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree is preferred.
    • 5–8 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years in enterprise-level SaaS, consulting, or services sales.
    • Proven success closing complex sales, managing a portfolio of 25+ accounts, and consistently attaining or exceeding sales quotas.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles involving multiple senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
    • Strong consultative selling skills and the ability to quickly understand client environments, business processes, organizational structures, and technology needs.
    • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, negotiation, and business communication skills suitable for working with senior stakeholders in a global corporate environment.
    • Strong proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, combined with effective sales methodology and CRM discipline.
    • Independent judgment and strong problem-solving abilities, with the confidence to evaluate complex situations and determine effective courses of action.
    • Ownership mindset, curiosity, initiative, and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving customer challenges.
    • Collaborative approach with a commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and building strong relationships with colleagues, mentors, customers, and industry experts.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and navigate challenging situations and conflict when required.
    • Willingness and ability to travel at least 40% of the time for customer and business needs.
    • Benefits:

      • Base salary: $68,100–$114,400 per year.
      • Eligibility for a commission plan in addition to base compensation.
