Account Executive
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Account Executive based in United States.
This is a high-impact strategic sales role focused on driving new business and expanding customer relationships within the Environmental Health & Safety and operational risk management software market. You will manage sophisticated, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving senior executives and complex buying committees. The role combines strategic territory planning, executive-level discovery, consultative selling, and disciplined pipeline management. You will build compelling business cases that connect customer challenges to measurable business outcomes and ROI. Success will require strong commercial judgment, resilience, curiosity, and the ability to consistently create high-quality pipeline. You will collaborate closely with SDRs, marketing, solution consultants, product, implementation, and executive teams. This is an opportunity to make a direct contribution to revenue growth while helping organizations improve safety, compliance, and operational performance.
Accountabilities
- Own and execute a comprehensive business plan for acquiring new-logo customers within the assigned strategic segment, while identifying opportunities to expand relationships during the first 12 months.
- Prospect actively within the assigned territory, respond quickly to inbound opportunities, and consistently build and maintain a pipeline of approximately 4x the annual quota target.
- Manage the complete enterprise sales cycle from initial prospecting and discovery through solution presentation, negotiation, contract generation, and close.
- Develop strong relationships with C-suite executives and other key stakeholders, navigating complex buying committees and multi-layered decision-making processes.
- Conduct consultative discovery to uncover customer pain points, business priorities, operational risks, and the financial impact of existing challenges.
- Build compelling value propositions and business cases that clearly demonstrate how solutions address customer needs and generate measurable ROI.
- Develop territory plans, prioritize opportunities effectively, and coordinate internal resources to deliver a high-quality customer experience throughout the sales process.
- Use Salesforce to maintain accurate opportunity data, manage daily activities, track pipeline progression, and support reliable sales forecasting.
- Become highly proficient in the solution portfolio and communicate its value effectively through in-person meetings, webinars, phone conversations, and executive presentations.
- Collaborate with Marketing, SDRs, subject matter experts, solution consultants, Product, Implementation, Client Success, and executive leadership to maximize pipeline and bookings.
- Gather customer and market feedback and contribute insights that can inform longer-term product, sales, and go-to-market strategy.
- Share successful sales practices with the broader team and contribute to a collaborative, positive, and performance-oriented culture.
- 7+ years of quota-carrying sales experience, preferably within a B2B SaaS environment and involving complex enterprise sales cycles.
- Proven experience selling to C-suite executives and navigating sophisticated, multi-stakeholder purchasing processes.
- Experience selling into manufacturing, construction, transportation, energy, or other operationally complex industries is a plus.
- Demonstrated history of consistently achieving or exceeding ambitious revenue targets through disciplined prospecting and pipeline development.
- Strong discovery skills, with the ability to uncover underlying business challenges, quantify impact, and understand the motivations behind buying decisions.
- Excellent presentation and storytelling abilities, with the capacity to connect customer pain points to solution capabilities, business outcomes, and ROI.
- Strong commercial judgment, negotiation skills, competitive drive, resilience, and a results-oriented mindset.
- High technical aptitude and the ability to quickly understand SaaS products, operational workflows, and customer technology environments.
- Experience using modern sales and productivity technologies such as Salesforce, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gong, ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with customers and internal stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Ability to listen carefully, ask challenging questions, solve problems proactively, and collaborate with sales engineers, subject matter experts, and client success teams.
- Highly organized and agile, with the ability to adapt sales strategies as customer needs, market conditions, and internal priorities evolve.
- A positive, team-oriented approach with the discipline and ownership required to manage a large territory and consistently create new opportunities.
- Annual base salary range of $115,000–$125,000.
- Annual on-target earnings of $230,000–$250,000.
