Account Executive (midwest)
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Account Executive (Midwest) based in the United States.
This role is an opportunity to own the full sales cycle across the Midwest and drive significant recurring revenue growth. You’ll build and manage a high-volume pipeline through disciplined prospecting, qualification, and follow-up. The position combines consultative selling with rigorous CRM management, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making. You’ll engage prospects and existing clients through discovery, tailored presentations, negotiation, and close. Beyond revenue generation, you’ll provide valuable market intelligence that informs product and partnership strategies. You’ll work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment where accountability, precision, and continuous improvement are highly valued.
Accountabilities:
- Generate approximately $1.3 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) by following a disciplined, data-informed sales methodology and consistently executing against ambitious targets.
- Build and maintain a strong opportunity pipeline through high-volume prospecting, outbound outreach, lead qualification, and strategic account engagement.
- Conduct timely and persistent follow-up, completing at least six contact attempts for each assigned lead within established follow-up windows.
- Own the full sales cycle, from initial discovery and qualification through customized presentations, negotiation, contracting, and close.
- Maintain highly accurate CRM records, documenting deal activity, stakeholder relationships, qualification information, and next steps in platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
- Deliver accurate biweekly ARR forecasts, targeting greater than 90% forecasting precision and using pipeline data to identify risks and opportunities.
- Analyze market trends, customer feedback, competitive developments, and industry needs to identify opportunities and potential threats.
- Share actionable market intelligence with Product and Partnerships teams to help inform product development and strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with partnership teams to appropriately route referrals, support partner relationships, and ensure established agreements are respected.
- Represent the organization at occasional industry conferences and other events to build relationships with prospects, clients, and industry stakeholders.
- 3+ years of professional experience managing complex sales activities and maintaining detailed records in a CRM such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
- Demonstrated success owning a full sales cycle, including prospecting, new-business acquisition, negotiation, closing, and account growth.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed ambitious sales quotas in a competitive B2B, technology, nonprofit, or related environment.
- Strong discovery and consultative selling skills, with the ability to develop compelling, tailored pitches for different customer segments.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage a high volume of activities, opportunities, and deadlines efficiently.
- Strong analytical skills and commercial judgment, with the ability to identify market trends, risks, opportunities, and customer needs through data and research.
- Exceptional attention to detail, including maintaining accurate CRM records, avoiding duplicate entries, and documenting client interactions clearly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex industry concepts in clear, professional language to diverse stakeholders.
- High adaptability and resilience, with the ability to perform effectively amid complexity, rapid change, and evolving business priorities.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development, openness to feedback, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with Sales, Partnerships, Product, and other cross-functional teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally for industry conferences, client meetings, and prospect engagement.
- Base salary: $60,000–$62,000 per year.
