Account Executive
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned customers and build strong, long-term relationships.
- Coordinate and process shipping documentation, load receipts, billing information, and related transportation records.
- Maintain accurate customer, shipment, and inventory data across internal and external systems.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements and company operating procedures.
- Communicate effectively with customers, drivers, warehouse personnel, and management to resolve issues and provide updates.
- Monitor account performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Investigate and resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with reporting, data entry, filing, and other administrative functions as needed.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure service commitments are met and customer expectations are exceeded.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of customer service, logistics, transportation, warehouse, or account management experience.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience in transportation, logistics, distribution, or third-party logistics (3PL).
- Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory control processes.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
