Accounts Clerk

About Us

Le Bistrot Du Sommelier is an award-winning French restaurant known for its authentic cuisine, curated wine selection, and exceptional hospitality. We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accounts Clerk to support our finance and administrative functions. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and able to work independently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.

  • Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and journal entries.

  • Reconcile bank statements, supplier statements, and customer accounts.

  • Assist with daily cash, credit card, and POS sales reconciliation.

  • Maintain accurate accounting records and filing systems.

  • Prepare and process staff claims, petty cash, and reimbursements.

  • Follow up on outstanding payments and liaise with suppliers, customers, and service providers regarding account matters.

  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and supporting schedules.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.

  • Perform general administrative duties and provide support to the management team as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum GCE 'O' Level, NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • At least 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience. Experience in the F&B or hospitality industry is an advantage.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, or similar).

  • Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of Singapore accounting practices and GST is an advantage.
