We’re seeking an experienced and driven Account Manager to join our Cairns team.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing key customer relationships, driving sales performance, and delivering tailored solutions that support our customers' success.

You’ll work closely with internal teams and branch networks to ensure a seamless customer experience while identifying opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries and support
  • Conduct regular customer meetings to understand needs and challenges
  • Ensure customers maximise value from our products and services

Sales & Growth

  • Identify and execute upselling and cross-selling opportunities
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve targets
  • Monitor account performance and mitigate potential risks
  • Collaborate with branch teams to drive business outcomes

Account Planning & Strategy

  • Develop tailored account plans to maximise customer satisfaction and revenue
  • Conduct regular account reviews and provide actionable insights
  • Support consignment stock management in partnership with branches

Reporting & Market Insights

  • Analyse sales data to identify trends and growth opportunities
  • Stay informed on industry developments and competitor activity
  • Provide regular reporting and recommendations to leadership

Collaboration

  • Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product and finance teams
  • Contribute to broader sales strategies and initiatives

About You

  • Proven experience in account management or sales (automotive, truck, parts or related industry highly regarded)
  • Strong ability to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Commercially minded with a track record of achieving sales targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organised with strong time management capabilities
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to travel as required
