Posted Updated
Do you want to help shape how readers discover their next favorite book? The Books Account Management team at Amazon is looking for an Account Manager I to work directly with Books publishers, driving value, selection, and convenience across their Amazon business. In this role, you will create and execute joint business plans, leverage data to inform decisions, and collaborate with publishers and vendor managers to achieve shared goals in selection, merchandising, and operations. If you are a curious, collaborative problem-solver who enjoys building trusted relationships and turning data into action, this is your opportunity to make a real impact on how publishers grow their business on Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with Books publishers, serving as their primary point of contact for daily business support and providing recommendations that improve how they operate on Amazon.
- Analyze business performance metrics and publisher data to identify growth opportunities, then develop and execute joint business plans that drive improvements in selection, merchandising, and operations.
- Collaborate with vendor managers, cross-functional teams, and cross-marketplace stakeholders to create action plans that resolve complex problems and deliver a positive publisher experience.
- Recommend and drive improvements to team processes, standard operating procedures, and internal tools while contributing to the development of playbooks that support consistent program execution.
- Provide timely, accurate support to publishers while playing a central oversight role in key projects, ensuring milestones are met and progress is communicated clearly to all stakeholders.
A day in the life
You might start your morning reviewing publisher performance dashboards, spotting trends that shape your next set of recommendations. Mid-morning, you join a working session with vendor managers to align on an upcoming merchandising initiative for a key publisher. After lunch, you connect directly with a publisher to walk through their joint business plan progress, share insights on selection opportunities, and address any open questions. Between calls, you update documentation, refine a process improvement proposal, and prepare a concise status update for your manager.
