Account Manager (Internal Candidates Only)
POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
The Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships while driving revenue growth within a designated portfolio of accounts. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers and works cross-functionally with operations, customer service, production, and leadership teams to ensure customer satisfaction and business success. The Account Manager identifies opportunities to expand existing business, retain key accounts, and deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Foster, develop, and implement Continuous Improvement (CI) activities through all facets of the business.
- Ensure a proactive approach to product quality, GMPs, and quality of workmanship.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of assigned customer accounts.
- Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal departments.
- Develop strong customer relationships to understand business needs and identify growth opportunities.
- Coordinate pricing, contract renewals, product launches, and service-related activities.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and quickly resolve issues to maintain long-term partnerships.
- Prepare and deliver customer presentations, business reviews, and sales forecasts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely communication and execution of customer requirements.
- Meet or exceed sales, retention, and profitability objectives.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity within the CRM system.
- Analyze customer trends, market conditions, and competitive activity to support business growth strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in EHS training, safety observations, hazard identification, and safety committees.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field; or similar experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of account management, customer service, sales, or related business experience.
- Experience managing customer relationships in a manufacturing, industrial, packaging, labeling, or related environment preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving sales or customer retention objectives.
- Ability to travel periodically to customer locations as required.
