About the role

We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of buy-side clients, driving engagement, retention and revenue expansion.

You will build trusted relationships with portfolio managers, quantitative analysts, investment strategists, economists, risk professionals and procurement teams, helping clients understand how ISI's market-leading data, research and intelligence can support investment decisions, risk management and market analysis.

This is a highly commercial role with a strong focus on renewal, cross-sell and account expansion. You will work closely with specialist sales, Product, Client Success and other internal teams to identify opportunities and maximise the value of our existing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of buy-side client relationships, acting as the primary commercial contact.
  • Develop trusted, multi-threaded relationships across investment, research, quantitative, risk, strategy and procurement teams.
  • Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities, uncovering new use cases, teams, asset classes and geographies.
  • Partner with Product Sales Specialists and internal experts to develop account strategies and convert expansion opportunities.
  • Act as a strategic advisor, helping clients identify new applications for ISI's data across investment research, idea generation, portfolio positioning, risk management and performance analysis.
  • Own renewals and commercial outcomes, proactively identifying renewal risks and developing strategies to protect and grow NRR.
  • Lead client discovery to understand evolving data requirements, investment workflows and business priorities.
  • Communicate the value and ROI of ISI's differentiated data, research and analytics solutions.
  • Share client feedback, market intelligence and competitive insight with Product and commercial teams.
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce records, opportunity updates and reliable revenue forecasting.

Required Skills & Experience

You will be customer-focused, commercially driven and proactive, with the ability to take ownership of accounts from renewal through to expansion.

You will be comfortable navigating complex organisations, influencing senior stakeholders and working collaboratively across Product, Sales, Client Success, Finance and Legal. Most importantly, you will be curious about financial markets and passionate about turning differentiated data into meaningful client outcomes.

  • Proven experience in buy-side account management, client success or relationship management, ideally within financial data, SaaS or B2B information services.
  • Strong understanding of how buy-side investment firms use data, analytics and research to support investment decisions, portfolio construction, market analysis and risk management.
  • Experience working with asset managers, hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds or other institutional investors.
  • Familiarity with fund flows, investor positioning, capital allocation, macroeconomic data or alternative datasets is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to have credible commercial conversations with portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, investment strategists and senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify whitespace and expand relationships within large, complex financial institutions.
  • Strong commercial mindset with a proven track record of driving retention, expansion and revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills, with experience managing CRM workflows, forecasting and renewal pipelines.
  • Understanding of APIs, data feeds, cloud delivery models and system integrations.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Kluster, Power BI or similar reporting tools is desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in economics, finance, business, mathematics or a related discipline preferred.
  • Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are desirable.
  • Genuine interest in financial markets, investor behaviour, capital flows and macroeconomic trends.
