As an Account Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering an exceptional client experience by managing service, sales, and renewal marketing support for your assigned Producer's book of business. Your knowledge of personal and commercial lines coverage, underwriting relationships, and client communication will make you the trusted go-to resource for clients, carriers, and your team alike.
In this role, you'll serve as the primary liaison between clients, insurance carriers, and brokers, resolving service issues, marketing renewals, and identifying opportunities to round out coverage. You'll be part of a collaborative environment where your organizational skills, insurance knowledge, and attention to detail directly support long-term client relationships and agency growth.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Serve as the primary service contact for your assigned Producer's book of business, building trusted, responsive relationships with clients.
- Act as the liaison between clients and carrier/broker underwriters, resolving coverage questions, billing issues, and policy changes.
- Review coverages with insureds and counsel them on policy terms, exposures, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Identify coverage gaps and round out accounts with additional products such as Umbrella, Inland Marine, and other specialty lines.
- Quote and bind new business for existing clients and walk-in opportunities, while supporting renewal marketing and remarketing efforts.
- Prepare and submit applications, renewal documentation, and invoices to clients and carriers with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Resolve underwriting issues, process endorsements, and support policy servicing from binding through renewal.
- Manage claims on behalf of insureds, providing end-to-end support and follow-up through resolution.
Who You Are
- Knowledgeable across personal and commercial lines products, coverages, and underwriting principles.
- Skilled at building strong, lasting client relationships and tailoring solutions to their needs.
- Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities at once.
- A persistent problem-solver who sees issues through to resolution.
- A clear, confident communicator, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable collaborating within a team while independently managing your own workload.
- Proficient with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Committed to staying current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
What You Bring
Day One:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a sales, account management, or customer service-related role.
- High School Diploma/GED or Associate Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Active Property and Casualty Insurance License.
- Strong knowledge of policy coverages, underwriting principles, and service procedures.
Valuable Additions:
- Experience in the Property and Casualty insurance industry, particularly commercial or personal lines account management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Marketing, or a related field.
