ACCOUNT OWNER
Job Summary
Drive sales growth by soliciting and developing customer relationships, resolving operational issues, managing rate and free time applications, and maintaining accurate CRM data to support shipping line operations.
Responsibilities
- Solicit potential customers and expand the existing customer base to increase sales opportunities
- Identify and resolve customer problems, including operational issues, to ensure customer satisfaction
- Build and maintain strong work relationships internally and externally to enhance customer service quality
- Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable department to follow up on delinquent accounts and ensure timely payments
- Liaise with trade managers to coordinate rate and free time filling in L2A systems
- Create and submit Out of Gauge (OOG) applications for Business Unit approval to facilitate special cargo handling
- Follow up with stakeholders on quotations, credit applications, and free time requests to support sales processes
- Provide market and competitor rate feedback to line managers to assist in rate review and strategy
- Update weekly Customer Relationship Management (CRM) records to maintain accurate sales data
- Monitor and ensure timely filing of all sales quotations before closing dates to support sales tracking
- Enter rate details into quotation negotiations and process auto rating upon shipment materialization
- Coordinate with overseas agents and regional offices to confirm FOB rate details for received shipments
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in a shipping line industry

- Self-starter with motivation, resourcefulness, and responsiveness to dynamic work demands
