Accountant (1 Year Contract) MNC - VTAL

Our client is MNC in Oil and Gas Industry. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Accountant to be part of their team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the West.

• Working Location: West Singapore (Company-provided door-to-door transport)
• Working Days: Monday to Friday
• Working Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• Employment Type: Yearly renewable contract

Responsibilities of Accountant:

• Apply knowledge of the company's financial systems, accounting processes, internal controls, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with established guidelines.
• Develop a good understanding of the company's organisational structure, core business operations and industry.
• Prepare and analyse complex accounting reports, financial statements and supporting schedules using relevant accounting systems and spreadsheets.
• Prepare and post journal entries for complex accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
• Review and monitor financial transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness and timely processing.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve complex accounting discrepancies and issues while ensuring compliance with internal control procedures.
• Prepare, analyse and distribute financial reports, including monthly financial results, budget variances and related explanations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on finance-related projects and initiatives, while developing project coordination and management capabilities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in General Ledger (GL) accounting.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment or manufacturing accounting will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with SAP or other accounting/ERP systems.
