Skills
Organisational Skills
- Strong ability to organise files, invoices, and quotations independently, without needing to be told.
- Able to convert raw data handed over by the team into clear, structured, and readable systems — so that work remains accessible and understandable to the team even in this person's absence.
- Comfortable building and maintaining consistent filing and documentation systems across accounting and admin functions.
- Team player who is ready to help and support in any task, regardless of whether it falls strictly within their role.
Accounting & Analytical Skills
- Understands how projects, supplier relationships, cost, and profit interact — and appreciates why cash flow is critical to an interior design business specifically.
- Capable of analysing numbers to identify trends, dips, and alarming situations — not simply presenting raw figures.
- A problem solver and independent thinker, able to work through issues and reach sound conclusions without constant oversight.
- Proactive by nature: expected to develop a deep understanding of the core business over time so they can advise the team, rather than just report to it.
