Job Summary

Our client is a growing real estate and lifestyle development company in Phnom Penh, focused on community-based projects for the Cambodian middle class. They are seeking a senior-level Accountant to independently manage daily accounting operations and support project accounting and reporting. This is a hands-on role with no people-management responsibility.

Main Responsibilities:

Accounting & Financial Operations

• Maintain a full set of accounts with accurate and timely financial records
• Manage general ledger, bank reconciliations, and monthly closings
• Maintain accounting procedures in line with company policies and standards
• Track development costs, construction expenses, and fixed assets
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records

Project Accounting & Reporting

• Support financial tracking of development projects
• Monitor project costs against budgets and identify variances
• Prepare basic project financial reports and key financial KPIs
• Support project-related cash flow monitoring

Tax, Audit & Compliance

• Support external audits and tax reviews
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and internal controls
• Prepare and support tax filings (VAT, withholding tax, and other applicable taxes)
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and authorities as required

Main Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growing environment
• English fluency required; Khmer or Mandarin is an advantage
