Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team in the Mumbai region. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly in relation to GST, TDS, bank reconciliation, and finalization of accounts. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. - Manage GST and TDS calculations, filings, and reconciliations to ensure timely compliance with tax regulations. - Perform bank reconciliations to ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly. - Assist in the finalization of accounts at the end of the financial year, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete. - Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and provide insights on financial performance. - Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations as required. Required Skills: - Strong knowledge of GST and TDS regulations. - Proficiency in bank reconciliation processes. - Experience in finalization of accounts and preparing financial statements. - Attention to detail and strong analytical skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel.
