Accountant

1. Manage monthly and year-end financial closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, account analysis, and statutory reporting support to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
2. Lead VAT compliance and reporting processes, including invoice administration, VAT filings, tax reconciliations, tax payments, and liaison with tax authorities to ensure full regulatory compliance.
3. Administer withholding tax (WHT) processes, including tax applications, payments, filings, certificate issuance, and related documentation for domestic and cross-border transactions.
4. Support corporate income tax and statutory tax obligations, including annual tax returns, provisional tax payments, tax reporting, and maintenance of supporting documentation.
5. Execute and monitor payment activities, including statutory payments, payroll tax remittances, pension contributions, supplier invoices, and other finance-related disbursements.
6. Coordinate intercompany accounting activities, including intercompany billing, transaction validation, workflow management, and collaboration with regional finance teams to ensure accurate and timely settlements.
7. Manage fixed asset accounting and controls, including asset capitalization, tagging, physical verification, disposals, transfers, and maintenance of fixed asset records.
8. Support inventory and statutory compliance activities, including annual stocktaking, inventory-related reporting, disposal approvals, and supporting documentation for audit and tax purposes.
9. Partner with internal and external auditors, preparing audit schedules, supporting documentation, account reconciliations, and compliance evidence for statutory and internal audits.
10. Maintain strong financial controls and governance processes, including SAP-related activities, invoice number administration, banking documentation, regulatory certificates, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
