Accountant

About the role:

We are looking for an Accounts Executive to join our Finance team on a 6-month contract. The role will primarily support the transition of our accounting function from a third-party vendor to an in-house setup.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in accounting, Zoho, and Tally, with a strong understanding of day-to-day accounting operations and bookkeeping.

What you'll do:

• Support the Finance team in maintaining and updating the books of accounts.
• Assist with the migration of books of accounts from the existing third-party vendor to the in-house accounting system.
• Work on accounting entries, reconciliations, and routine bookkeeping activities.
• Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and up to date.
• Work closely with the Finance team to validate and reconcile data during the migration process.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting records.
• Support documentation and maintenance of finance and accounting records.
• Assist with any other accounting-related activities required during the transition.

What we're looking for:

• 1–4 years of experience in accounting or finance operations.
• Hands-on experience with Zoho Books and Tally is mandatory.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Experience with account reconciliations and maintaining financial records.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks within timelines.
• Immediate or short-term availability would be preferred.
