Accountant (HQ & Regional Finance)

About the Role

Sky Global specializes in time-critical logistics solutions, including On-Board Courier (OBC), Next Flight Out (NFO)and air freight. We are seeking a hands-on Accountant / Senior Accountant to manage the full set of accounts for our Singapore HQ, strengthen financial controls, and work closely with finance teams across our regional offices. The role will also support the implementation and continuous improvement of new accounting software and integrated finance workflows.

Key Responsibilities

· Full-set accounting and month-end close: Manage general ledger, AR, journals, accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations and financial records; prepare timely monthly and year-end closing.

· Management reporting and analysis: Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and management reports; analyze expenses, variances and business performance to support decisions.

· Credit control and cash flow: Monitor AR ageing, overdue collections, customer credit exposure, supplier payments and working-capital requirements; support cash flow forecasting.

· Logistics job costing and margins: Review shipment-level revenues, vendor costs, accruals and Gross Profit; support accurate billing and cost allocation for OBC, NFO and air freight jobs.

· Regional finance coordination: Work with country finance teams on timely reporting, intercompany balances, multi-currency transactions and group reporting/consolidation schedules.

· Accounting systems and improvement: Support selection/rollout of cloud accounting systems, data migration, user acceptance testing, workflow improvements and integration with quotation/job-costing processes.

· Audit, tax and compliance: Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors, tax agents and corporate secretaries; support Singapore GST, tax matters and applicable accounting standards.

Internal controls and documentation:

Maintain accurate supporting records, improve finance SOPs, approval controls and reconciliations, and identify process improvements and automation opportunities.

Requirements

· Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.

· At least 5 years of relevant experience with independent full-set accounting and month-end closing inSingapore.

· Working knowledge of Singapore GST, statutory audit requirements and financial reporting.

· Proficiency in Excel and cloud-based accounting software; hands-on ERP implementation, system migration or automation experience is highly advantageous.

· Exposure to regional reporting, intercompany accounting, multi-currency transactions or group consolidation is an advantage.

· Experience in freight forwarding, logistics or time-critical shipment billing and job costing is an advantage.

· Strong accuracy, analytical and organizational skills; able to communicate effectively and collaborate with overseas colleagues while meeting deadlines.

- Willing to travel overseas for work when necessary.
