About the Role

We're looking for an experienced finance professional who enjoys working closely with people, solving problems, and helping organizations strengthen their financial practices.

In this role, you'll work with a wide network of partner organizations across Bangladesh, providing financial guidance, monitoring, training, and support. You'll help improve financial accountability, strengthen compliance, build local capacity, and ensure partners have the tools and knowledge they need to manage resources effectively.

This is not a desk-based accounting role. While a strong accounting foundation is essential, a significant part of the work involves working directly with partners, conducting field visits, facilitating training, reviewing financial practices, and helping teams identify practical solutions to financial and compliance challenges.

If you enjoy combining technical finance expertise with coaching, relationship building, and field engagement, this could be an exciting next step in your career.

What You'll Be Doing:

Support Partner Financial Management

  • Review financial reports and supporting documentation submitted by partner organizations.

  • Analyze financial data and identify trends, risks, gaps, or areas for improvement.

  • Review audit observations and support partners in addressing findings.

  • Provide practical guidance on accounting processes, internal controls, and financial reporting.

Build Capacity and Strengthen Financial Practices

  • Plan and facilitate training sessions for finance staff and partner organizations.

  • Support the development of tools, resources, and learning materials.

  • Coach and mentor partner finance teams to strengthen financial management and accountability.

  • Share best practices and support continuous learning across the partner network.

Conduct Monitoring and Field Support

  • Travel to partner locations to conduct monitoring visits, spot checks, and financial reviews.

  • Assess compliance with financial policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.

  • Verify that agreed processes are being implemented effectively.

  • Identify challenges and work collaboratively with partners to develop practical solutions.

Promote Compliance and Risk Management

  • Support compliance with organizational requirements and applicable regulations.

  • Help strengthen financial controls and accountability practices.

  • Flag potential risks and recommend corrective actions where needed.

  • Contribute to efforts that improve overall organizational readiness for future funding and grant opportunities.

Collaborate with Stakeholders

  • Build strong working relationships with partner organizations and internal teams.

  • Partner with colleagues across finance, training, partnership, and leadership functions.

  • Serve as a trusted resource on financial management and compliance-related matters.

  • Support initiatives aimed at improving systems, processes, and partner effectiveness.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, audit, compliance, financial monitoring, or partner finance management.

  • Experience working with INGOs, development organizations, or donor-funded programs.

  • Experience reviewing financial reports and monitoring financial performance.

  • Experience supporting or working directly with partner organizations.

  • Strong facilitation, training, or capacity-building experience.

  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

  • Sound knowledge of financial controls, compliance, and reporting requirements.

  • Knowledge of Bangladesh tax and VAT regulations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently throughout Bangladesh.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional accounting certification or progress toward Chartered Accountant qualification.

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Experience conducting partner assessments or organizational reviews.

  • Experience working with large networks of local partner organizations.

What Success Looks Like

The person who succeeds in this role will be someone who can balance technical expertise with strong people skills. You'll be equally comfortable reviewing financial reports, facilitating a training session, conducting a field visit, or advising a partner on how to improve a financial process.

You'll be proactive, collaborative, and confident working with stakeholders at different levels. Most importantly, you'll enjoy helping others strengthen their financial management practices and achieve sustainable improvements over time.

Why Join Us?

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a broad impact across a large network of partner organizations. You'll work closely with experienced colleagues, engage directly with partners across the country, and play a key role in strengthening financial accountability, compliance, and organizational capacity.

If you're looking for a role that combines finance, partnership, training, and field engagement, we'd love to hear from you.
