Accountant

Responsible for recording, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting an organization’s financial data. They ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, maintain accurate financial records, and provide insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. Accountants work across industries including corporate finance, public accounting, nonprofit, and government sectors, and may advance to roles such as Senior Accountant, Controller, Finance Manager, or CFO

Core Responsibilities

• Financial Recordkeeping and Reporting: Maintain ledgers, journals, and financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Analyze historical data to assist management in setting budgets and predicting financial trends
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, ensure adherence to tax laws, and manage regulatory reporting
• Auditing and Internal Controls: Conduct internal or external audits, reconcile accounts, and safeguard organizational assets
• Financial Analysis and Advisory: Identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide recommendations for cost management and financial planning
