Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software (Xero)
- Handle daily transactions, including bank, accounts payable, and accounts receivable reconciliations
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Prepare basic financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Support tax-related tasks such as BAS, IAS, and other compliance requirements
- Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards and internal processes
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations
Requirements
- Part qualification or degree in Accounting / Finance (CA / ACCA / CPA – part qualified or pursuing)
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping for Australian clients
- Basic knowledge of GST, BAS, payroll, and tax compliance
- Familiarity with Xero (experience with Odoo/BGL is a plus)
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong English communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage tasks independently
