About the Role
NAJEC FMCG Limited is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage financial records, cash and bank operations, inventory, statutory compliance, payroll, and financial reporting while strengthening financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain financial records, general ledger, journals, and month-end adjustments.
- Manage bank, supplier, customer, and receivables reconciliations.
- Monitor cash handling, banking, credit sales, and overdue payments.
- Reconcile inventory with physical stock and investigate variances.
- Prepare and remit VAT, WHT, PAYE, Pension, NSITF, and ITF obligations.
- Prepare payroll, management accounts, budgets, and cash-flow forecasts.
- Support audits and enforce controls to prevent fraud and revenue leakage.
Requirements
- B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years’ hands-on accounting experience, preferably in FMCG, distribution, wholesale, or trading.
- Knowledge of Nigerian tax and statutory obligations.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software.
- Strong Microsoft Excel, analytical, and reconciliation skills.
- ICAN/ACCA qualification or active pursuit is an advantage.
- High integrity, confidentiality, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
